Beneath it, the Automatic Transfer Switch, fuel tank, and battery live as nested custom objects, not a generic Equipment row. The generator record shows each role its own layout, and the OEM warranty — Cummins, Generac, Kohler — sits on the record with the startup PDF. Run hours aren't native; they ride along as a custom field.

NFPA-110 Chapter 8 is a four-cadence treadmill — weekly visual, monthly 30-minute exercise at 30% load, semi-annual PM, annual two-hour load bank. FieldCamp's Recurring Jobs engine auto-generates every one, per generator.

From site survey to AHJ wet-witness — every phase, every permit, on one job.
A standby generator install is a multi-week, permit-gated project — survey to pad pour to AHJ wet-witness. FieldCamp wires the whole sequence as a multi-day job — separate visits per phase, one parent record.
The Permit object lists Generator as a type with an Applied → Approved → Inspection → Closed lifecycle, and stage guardrails make the wet-witness step a real gate, not a hope — no placard photo and AHJ signature, no Closed. Job Types save the install template, all on the request → estimate → job → invoice backbone.

Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Briggs — one record per claim, four portals out.
Generac PowerPro, Cummins Care, Kohler OnCue — every OEM has its own portal, and FieldCamp doesn't replace any of them. It organizes the claim packet on the unit: a Warranty record with provider, plan, dates, and the startup PDF.
A Workflow fires 30 days before expiry — a documented pattern — to email the customer and draft the renewal. Hierarchical skill matching puts only Cummins-certified techs on Cummins claims, and the photos, claim form, and RMA live in the site's Drive folder, AI-searchable. Portal submission still happens in the OEM's app.
