File Management & Folders
Document management software for contractors — files on the job, not a separate drive.
Files, folders, photos, and contracts attached to the job, client, and visit they belong to. Captured from the field, organized in folders, AI-searchable by content, and shared securely. Built for HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, electrical — every trade that runs on paperwork and photos.
Trusted by HVAC, plumbing, and roofing contractors for job document management — from a 10-tech shop to a multi-state franchise.
01 Contractor file management
Every document, on the job it belongs to. Not in some shared drive.
A signed contract, a permit, a model-number photo, a wiring diagram — dropped straight onto the job, client, or visit. Drag a file in or click upload. Every file inherits the full context of the record it sits on, so it’s never an orphan in a folder no one can find. PDFs are indexed automatically so you can search by content, not just filename.

02 Job photo software
Before and after, shot from the field. Filed automatically.
Techs snap photos on the visit from the mobile app — before they start, after they finish. Each photo files itself into the client’s drive and stays tied to that visit, that job, that customer. Proof of work for the dispute that never happens, and a portfolio you can show the next customer. HVAC, plumbing, roofing — any trade that needs job photos software can use it the same day.

Organize it like a drive. Find it like a search bar.
Create folders per client — permits, contracts, site photos, warranties. Filter to just files or just folders, or search by name. Re-upload a document and the old copy is kept as a version, so you can always pull the one that was signed. Share any file with a secure link. The drive also supports text notes so you can keep context right alongside the documents.

05 Why contractors choose it
Contractor document management that remembers the job.
01
Context never gets lost.
A file on a shared drive is an orphan — no one remembers which job it belonged to. On FieldCamp, every file sits on the job, client, or visit, so the context travels with it forever.
02
Proof of work, captured at the source.
Before-and-after photos shot from the field file themselves into the customer's history. When a dispute comes — or a warranty claim, or an insurer — the evidence is already there, time-stamped and tied to the visit.
03
Find anything in seconds.
Folders to organize, a filter to narrow, a search to pinpoint. PDFs you upload are indexed automatically — search by content, not just filename. The signed copy is kept as a version. No more digging through email threads or a drive named final-FINAL-v2.
06 The rest of the platform
Files are one piece. The rest fits the same way.
Every feature is configured around your business — and connected to the same data. Take the whole platform, or just the part you need.
07 Common questions
Document management software — questions, answered.
What is field service document management software?
Field service document management software stores the files, folders, photos, documents, and contracts a service business generates — and keeps each one attached to the job, client, or visit it belongs to, rather than in a separate disconnected drive. Good document management for contractors lets field techs capture photos from a mobile app, organizes everything in folders, makes content AI-searchable, keeps prior versions, and shares files securely. FieldCamp does all of this on the same records your team already works in.
Can technicians upload photos from the field?
Yes. Techs capture photos on the visit from the FieldCamp mobile app — before-and-after shots, model numbers, damage, completed work. Each photo files itself into the client's drive and stays tied to that visit, job, and customer, time-stamped on upload. You can pull those photos into estimates and invoices later.
Does it organize files into folders?
Yes. The Client Drive lets you create folders per client — for permits, contracts, site photos, warranties — and nest folders with breadcrumb navigation. You can filter to just files or just folders, search by name, rename or move items, and create text notes per client directly inside the drive. Jobs, visits, estimates, and invoices each keep their own attached files too.
Can I share files with customers?
Yes. Generate a secure share link for any file, or email documents like contracts and invoices straight to the customer. Links are time-limited for security. Access to files follows each team member's role.
Does FieldCamp keep previous versions of a file?
Yes. When you re-upload a document with the same name, the earlier copy is kept as a version. You can open the version history on a file and download any earlier version — so the originally signed contract is always recoverable.
What file types and trades does it support?
FieldCamp handles PDFs, images, video, spreadsheets, documents, and more, with in-app preview for common types. PDFs are indexed automatically so you can search by content — useful for HVAC service agreements, equipment manuals, plumbing permits, roofing contracts, and restoration reports. It's used by HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, roofing, electrical, restoration, and every trade that runs on paperwork and job photos.
